Abstract
Quantitative PCR has proven to be an attractive methodology for rapid and accurate amplification of targets of interest. Customers have expressed concerns with the cost and time associated with extraction and prep associated with a sample prior to PCR. IDT endeavored to develop a 1-step master mix that would allow customers to go directly from sample collection to PCR, removing the need for traditional extraction steps.
The outcome of this project was the launch of our PrimeTime™ One-Step 4x BroadvRange Master Mix for direct or extracted PCR. This talk will explore the benefits of extraction free PCR on a variety of sample types including nasopharyngeal swabs, saliva, urine, and plant leaf punches. The PrimeTime One-Step 4x Broad Range Master Mix provides researchers with an effective and cost savings approach to qPCR without the need for costly and timely extractions.
